ALM Chief Executive
Belinda was appointed Chief Executive of the ALM in November 2018 with a brief to update the ALM and increase engagement with its members, Lloyd’s and other entities involved in private capital at Lloyd’s. Belinda is also Chair of the CII Disciplinary Decision Review Panel and an External Member of the Lloyd’s Enforcement Panel.
In 2016 she retired as a leading business lawyer and partner in CMS international law firm with 30 years’ experience in insurance, acting in a number of high-profile insurance cases, including the LMX spiral litigation that resulted in R & R; the Enron US class action; and Buncefield. Her work extended to the regulatory sphere, including dealing with s166 reviews, regulatory investigations and disciplinary proceedings. She has previously been a board member of a Lloyd’s broker.
When Belinda is not in EC3, she is a farmer’s wife near Newmarket who enjoys playing low level polo, badly but with great gusto!
