Jeffery is recognised internationally by all major directories as one of the leading solicitors in the fields of Infrastructure and Energy. He was a Partner with Norton Rose Fulbright, where he held a number of senior management positions including Chairman of the firm’s Partnership Council (Board). He set up and ran the firm’s Project Finance department for many years and was also Head of the Banking Departments for 6 years.

He is heavily involved in promoting the City’s interests.  He chaired the Infrastructure and Energy Executive Board of TheCityUK for several years  and sat on the IRSG Working Group which prepared the report on Long-Term Finance for Infrastructure and Growth Companies in Europe. He also sat on the Supervisory Board of UKTI’s High Value Opportunities Programme chaired by Sir Michael Bear. In addition, he sat  on the London Council of the Confederation of British Industry six years  and currently sits  on its International Advisory Board.

He was Chairman of the Cook Society which promotes British – Australian relationships at a senior level in 2015 and 2016 and is now Deputy Chairman and is a visiting professor at London and Metropolitan University.

He supports a number of Children’s Charities and is regularly involved in fund raising activities on their behalf.  He is on the Advisory Board of Beanstalk (previously VRH) and is a Patron of the Dyspraxia Foundation.  He also actively supports Snowcamp, the Change Foundation and Wooden Spoon.

He became a member of Lloyd’s in 1987 and both he and his wife now underwrite at Lloyd’s via a Nameco.

He was appointed to the ALM Board in May 2016.
